GP Batteries have appointed Walker Agency to launch their European activation and help them to save the planet, one battery at a time! The multinational battery manufacturer has partnered with The Outdoor Industries Association to launch a new initiative – getting people to switch to rechargeable batteries, with the aim of reducing their carbon footprint.
In 2017, 600 million batteries were used and disposed of in the UK alone…and this is something we’d like to change. The campaign is in its early stage of development but fast gathering pace, and will include a Europe-wide multi-lingual microsite, where consumers will be able to pledge to switch to rechargeables.
Paula Barclay, Head of Digital Production said: “It’s a pleasure to work on this initiative with GP Batteries. By leading the conversation about energy wasting habits, we hope to make a small positive contribution towards environmental change. The European-wide activation will explore how we can all help, beyond switching to rechargeable technologies.”
Stay tuned for more work from Walker and GP Batteries as it develops.
