The challenge
Make the experience bigger, more magical and more memorable than ever before.
You don't have to ask us twice!
Monty Bojangles wanted to scale up their experiential and sampling activation game, following our hugely successful test and learn strategy of the previous two years. Each activation so far had targeted a key regional hot spots for the brand based on customer demographics and sales data; Midlands and Southern regions. Skirting around the Capital.
It’s time to take the show to London!

The Solution
Briefs like this are incredibly exciting. So we jumped to it.
Cue much creative ideation, frenzied research, scouting, story development and 3D walkthrough building. Hunting out partners and manufacturers who had the extra special something that was needed.
Together we explored the physical and metaphysical journey that we wanted to take people on, the locations that would offer the biggest impression, and the structures and builds that the brand would need to make the impact.

The team delivered
- A six location activation timeline, comprising five pure sampling days around central London to build excitement, culminating in the main Kings Cross 3 day extravaganza
- A totally unique purpose-built 12-metre octagonal circus tent, crucially without a central pillar - to allow for our surprise centrepiece
- Immersive and ultra realistic tropical rainforest experience, complete with fantastical birds, giant butterflies and monster cocoa beans. All of which was concealed inside the tent only to be revealed upon stepping through those door panels
- A 2.5 metre replica of a Monty Bojangles collectible ‘Persian Pink’ cat tin decorated in mindbending illustrations and UV highlights
- Within the tent was atmospheric lighting, otherworldly mists arising from the undergrowth, evocative rainforest soundbed, all overlaid with a delicious wafting chocolate scent
- Outside, were crowd-pleasing spin the wheel games and polaroid photo op huge hot air balloon and colourful ice cream tricycle full to the brim with treats
- During the activation fortnight, ran radio ads and outdoor animated billboards in and around the surrounding areas, to tie it all together
